She was initially a cursed human of a special degree haunted by her late childhood friend, Rika Orimoto. Satoru Gojo was Yuta's mentor and enrolled him at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Yuta was initially a second year student at Jujutsu High, where he works as a wizard of Jujutsu. She was training abroad in Africa with Miguel until after the Shibuya incident, when he returned to Tokyo.
