Vash, as a plant, requires a special weapon known as the angel arm to activate her powers to their full extent. This weapon is one of two that Vash's Knives created from technology he salvaged from a SEEDS ship. Shortly after receiving his angel arm from his brother, Vash discovers that the two guns were made to aid Knives in his plan to "cleanse" the planet of its human population. Conflicted both emotionally and morally against his brother's goal, Vash remembers the morals taught to him by Rem Saverem, a human caretaker.
