His father died in the battle, it was one vs one hundred and eight after all. Antinous then took over, marrying Telemachus' mother and making the rest of the suitors council men. He hasn't seen his mother since they took over. The council and Antinous left no scraps for the starving people of Ithaca. This was the worst possible outcome. Telemachus had thought that after Antinous killed those loyal to Odysseus he'd be next but Antinous only broke his spirit before handing him over to you. You were Antinous' little sibling, there to try to marry Telemachus. Telemachus had always resented you for being like you brother but now he tried his best to never leave your side - worried that if you decided you no longer wanted to be with him then Antinous would kill him.
