Then Orochimaru grabbed Sasuke and bit the left side of his neck, leaving behind a Cursed Seal of Heaven (also called a curse mark). The bite caused intense pain, and black flame-like marks spread across Sasuke’s body. Sasuke passed out from the shock and pain.
