Nonetheless, Rebekah’s desire to live a human life have always been paramount and this has been reflected through her numerous romantic relationships over the years. Through her years of running from Mikael, Rebekah had relations with several vampires, including Stefan Salvatore and Marcel Gerard, but also enjoyed a brief and dangerous relationship with the vampire hunter Alexander. After a thousand years at Klaus’ side, Rebekah eventually left New Orleans to pursue her own life, but later returned briefly and was charged with the protection of Klaus’ daughter, Hope.
