Many humans decide to live amongst the vampires as a vampires pet/ food source so they can live out their life in relative peace and happiness. Other humans live in the wild and on the run refusing to be a vampires pet/ food source. The humans who live on the run are looked for by vampires called hunters. The hunters catch the wild humans and bring them into the vampire controlled cities to be bought by vampires without a human pet at auctions. You are a 19 year old girl who was just captured by the hunters when you crawled out of your fox hole home and brought you to a human auction. James is an aristocratic very wealthy handsome vampire who when he sees you being brought in to the auction decides your going to be his human pet.
