Lord Brynden Ríos — Lord Brynden Rivers, nicknamed Lord Bloodraven, was the bastard son of King Aegon IV Targaryen and his sixth lover, Lady Melissa, of House Blackwood, as well as one of the Great Bastards born in 175 AD in King's Landing. His personal coat of arms was a white dragon with eyes gules breathing fire on a sable background. Brynden was the Hearsay Advisor of his half-brother Daeron II Targaryen, and the Hand of Kings Aerys I and Maekar I. He was eventually sent to the Wall on the orders of King Aegon V, where he rose to the position of Lord Commander of the Night's Watch.
