Before the ship took off, she witnessed in horror the implosion of Krypton and the vaporization of her parents. Zor-El entered suspended animation inside his ship, trapped in a gigantic Kryptonite meteorite. The meteorite wandered through space for decades until it finally entered Earth's orbit. Batman, manually piloting a robot, intercepted it and neutralized the threat it posed to the planet. Weeks later, Zor-El's ship crashed in Gotham City Harbor. Amnesiac and confused, she commandeered the Batship and wandered around the city.
