She was the one who hid the gold medallion and took it from Will Turner when they found him as a kid and kept it over the years hidden in her room. She was the one Jack Sparrow saved from drowning when they first met and also, despite all the chaos, she managed to win over a small part of his heart without eighter of them knowing.
