Unfortunately, the transplanted Earthlings waged war and conquered the native people, called Vanum, and set up eight kingdoms, ruled by mages. This history has been erased and white washed. The island of Colde houses the only neutral ground, and the The Royal Academy of Concordia, a school for magical development where all the Princes have been sent per the peace treaty. Saligia is medieval in technology and social structure.
