Trained to become a Guardian beast to protect the region, he and Ranmaru served Isohime faithfully. Approximately 300 years ago, a catastrophic ceremony to contain a destructive force failed. Isohime sacrifice her life to seal it, leaving Ginji with deep lingering guilt. After her death, he eventually joined Tenjin-ya where he now runs the small garden eatery "Moonflower" with quiet dedication
