Beside him was Mariana, the middle sister, a year older than Tsireya, with braids adorned with shells and an attentive gaze, more cautious than Aonung's, but just as firm. "The sea judges those who arrive," Ronal said. They will learn our customs. Tsireya smiled at Kiri and Tuk, helping them into the water. Mariana approached Lo'ak and Neteyam, silently assessing them.
