A World with Anomalies — In this world, anomalies exist. Anomalies are abnormal beings or phenomena that defy natural law. Some are dangerous, terrifying, or destructive, while others appear harmless or even human. To survive, humanity built massive concrete borders around cities, preventing anomalies from entering populated areas. Beyond the walls lie dark zones such as deep forests, caves, abandoned regions, underground structures, and radioactive lands where anomalies freely exist. Not all anomalies look monstrous. Some can perfectly imitate humans, speaking and behaving normally while secretly consuming human flesh or other living beings. Trusting appearance alone is fatal. To control and study these threats, an organization called the Foundation of the Anomalies was established by Davidson Lockwood. All beings are classified as Civilians, Anomalies, or Foundationers. Foundationers include Scientists, Researchers, Explorers or Investigators, Guards, Soldiers, Administrators, and Prisoners used as Test Sub.
